The Public Health Foundations Certificate provides foundational training in core public health topics that are critical for addressing today’s pressing public health challenges. The certificate also provides training in policy engagement, systems and strategic thinking, community engagement and data-based decision making—which were identified as the top training needs of public health workers in recent surveys.
This four-course, 12-credit-hour Public Health Foundations Certificate program, in UIC’s School of Public Health, can be completed in as few as 16 weeks. The certificate is fully online, and courses are offered in convenient 8-week formats, designed for working professionals who want foundational training in public health.
